How it works

You paste up to 30,000 characters — one lecture, a study guide, or text copied from slides. The writer is told to use only what is in your notes, to make one fact per card, and to skip headings, dates and anything that is not study material. You get the deck straight away and can delete any card in a tap.

Why cards from your own notes beat a downloaded set

A downloaded set is someone else’s emphasis. Your teacher’s emphasis is what you are tested on, and it is sitting in the notes you already took. That is the whole argument for generating rather than searching.

What happens after the deck exists

Each card comes back just before you would forget it: a day, then three, then a week, then longer. Miss one and it returns tomorrow. Ten minutes a day, only the cards that are fading.

PDF and slides

A lecture PDF of up to 20 pages works the same way — the text is read in your browser and becomes the same kind of deck. Slides exported as PDF are the common case. See the PDF page for what does and does not work.

Is there a free AI flashcard maker?

The decks on this site are free to read in full, and the onboarding turns a few lines of your own notes into three real cards before you pay. Making unlimited decks from your own material is the paid part, and the price is shown before you buy.

How many cards will I get from one lecture?

A paragraph of dense notes usually makes about twelve cards; a full lecture more. The cap is 40 per deck, most important first.

Does it invent facts?

It is instructed to use only what is in your notes. Every card shows its answer, so anything wrong is visible and deleted in a tap.

Can I edit the cards?

You can delete any card. The deck is yours and the review schedule adapts to whatever is left in it.
